FIRST OF ALL, SOME CABINETS WITH MINERALS FROM ARGENTINA

First row: Metatorbernite micro xx on matrix (see
a close up). Florencite microxx on Microcline from Papachacra, Catamarca.
Molybdenite (two TN). Hematite ps after Magnetite.
The second row has some borates from the North of Argentina: Borax X, Colemanite xx, Ezcurrite(Type Loc) Native Elements:Gold in matrix, Graphite. At the right a small stony meteorite from La Criolla. The last row has Epidote xls, some samples of Fluorite, one with Microcline and Smoky Quartz. On the Back a Beryl crystal and other samples that you can see in the next picture. |

This is the back part of the prior photo. Top row has a dioptase
xl on matrix from Córdoba, Microcline twins and Topaz xls from Catamarca,
and a Schorl crystal.
The other two rows have more silicates: Muscovite from Catamarca; Stilbite and Apophilite from Misiones; and also Quartz xls, Chalcedony nodules and a Jasper volcanic Bomb. At the Bottom right, the front part of the Beryl xl of the first photo. Of course all the minerals at the back of the cabinet are better seen in the other photo. |

It's Hematite ps Magnetite. In this case in very rare esqueletical
xls.

CELESTITE / BARITE - METATORBERNITE
Recently a number of the Mineralogical Record was about Boleo area,
Baja California, Mexico.
It says there that Boleite is found as cubic xls, sometimes with
octaheric faces; and only one time was found as an octahedric xl with small
cubic faces.
But... Here it is... A perfect 1mm octaheric boleite. Here you can
see different views of the tiny crystal. I took the photos with my new
Ricoh RDC-2 digital camera, without any lens. I think they're very good
for this small specimen.
